Design Build Opportunity Zone Fund project.  Assured team was involved from conception to completion and completed full entitlement package through construction.  Project consisted of a block and wood framed building built in 1962 that operated as a tavern and motel before being shutter in approximately 2005.  The building sat vacant and continued to be a haven for rodents, birds, homeless as well as a community eye sore for nearly 15 years.  Upon acquisition, the building was severely deteriorated, full of asbestos nearing the point of needed to be demolished.  The Assured team worked hand in hand with Ownership to salvage the mason and concrete section of the structure and maintain the aesthetic appeal of the 1962 building while constructing to current building codes.  Site had additional challenges with access, staging and security.
